BELLConstruction is dedicated to building better, one relationship at a time. This mission extends to all of our relationships, including business enterprises that are deemed small or disadvantaged, as well as those owned by minorities, women, service-disabled veterans, veterans, and/or individuals with other recognized designations.

On every project, we aim to make a positive impact by creating more equitable, diverse, and inclusive business opportunities for our communities, clients, and company. By prioritizing diversity and inclusion in all respects, from hiring internal talent to working with diverse subcontractors and suppliers, we all ²ú±ð²Ô±ð´Ú¾±³Ù.Ìý

Our team members bring their authentic selves to every project, and our clients and trade partners reap the advantages of having varied disciplines, perspectives, and backgrounds involved in our projects.

We recognize that change does not happen overnight, and we remain committed to long-term, continuous improvement to our inclusion and diversity practices.

CULTURE OF CARE

In 2020, we chose to take the Culture of CARE pledge, which states:

Our company believes that every individual has the right to a work environment that is free from harassment, hazing and bullying. We will take action to ensure every employee at our company has the opportunity to reach their full potential by building a culture that is diverse, safe, welcoming and inclusive.

By taking this pledge, my company is committing to the following principles:

EMPLOYMENT

BELLis an equal opportunity employer. In compliance with employment discrimination laws, is our policy to not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or any other legally protected class. Furthermore, we value the contributions of a diverse workforce and make concerted efforts to ensure our recruiting and hiring processes reflect that commitment.

We regularly participate in career fairs and other recruiting efforts across several of our local construction, engineering, and related education programs, including , a local HBCU (Historically Black Colleges & Universities).

DBE PARTICIPATION

BELLConstruction strives to promote an ethical and fair environment that enables and encourages members of the Small & Diverse Business community to contribute their full potential to help us deliver projects to our clients. Many of our contracts, including those with Metro Nashville Government, the State of Tennessee, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, or the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (BNA), have a required percentage of Small & Diverse Business participation, but we always aim to exceed those goals.

In fact, BELLstrives to meet a 10 percent minority participation goal across all projects annually even when not required by the Owner.

In August 2021, BELLConstruction hosted our first Small & Diverse Business Certification Training at the Music City Center. With approximately 50 registrants from across the industry, we were able to see a real impact—both internally and externally.

WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION

In an industry that has traditionally been predominantly male, BELLis lucky to have a talented and strong group of women serving in various roles across the company—from the office to project management to the field. In 2021, we proudly introduced our first female owner.
